The aim of these programmes is to provide orthopaedic device manufacturers with coating solutions that meet the evolving needs of the clinical end-user market, with primary focus on improving post-operative patient outcomes following implant surgery.
The company is actively engaged in the following areas:
- development of its Acusure® inert gas plasma spray coatings, targeting application to an increasing range of implant designs
- research and development of a broadening range of clinical applications of its silver ion antimicrobial surface treatments and coatings through application of these surface technologies to an increased range of substrate materials and implants used within the orthopaedic device market.
